integral part of the product development activities of ER&DCI(T). The
main objective of this specialist module is to provide the equipment user
with a product that is functionally and ergonomically efficient and aesthetically
pleasing.
Industrial Design Group has the rare opportunity of handling
products in defferent areas of electronics such as Control & Instrumentation,
Power electronics, Computer & communications, Audio video systems,
Strategic Electronics, Rural Electronics etc.
In tune with the Centre's
major objective to promote accelerated growth of electronic industries by
working in close co-operation with both public and private sector industries,
the group has enlarged its scope of activities by extending its expertise
in the field of product design to outside organisations such as Keltron,
SAIL, C-DAC Pune, C-DOT Bangalore, Transmatic Systems Thiruvananthapuram,
Penpol Thiruvananthapuram, etc.
